How is the Chem-Dry carpet cleaning method different from other companies?
At Chem-Dry, we use a unique cleaning process called Hot Carbonating Extraction. This method uses the power of carbonation to reach dirt and grime deep in your carpet fibers. The bubbles lift these unwanted elements to the surface where they are whisked away by our powerful extraction equipment. Our carbonated cleaning solution requires only a fraction of the water used by traditional steam cleaners. This means your carpets dry faster, typically in 1-2 hours.
How do you remove pet urine odor from carpets?
Pet odors can linger on for months if not treated properly. As urine dries in the carpet and padding, what’s left are millions of concentrated urine crystals that become even more pungent. Many companies just mask this odor with fragrance, but not Chem-Dry. We use a patented system called P.U.R.T.® (Pet Urine Removal Treatment) that explodes the urine crystals and breaks down the enzymes, which gets rid of the source of the odor. In fact it’s been tested & proven to remove 99.9% of pet urine odors.
How often should I have my carpets cleaned?
We recommend a professional carpet cleaning every 6-12 months for most carpets. If you have kids, pets, or someone suffers from asthma or allergies, you may need more frequent cleanings. Regular professional carpet cleaning will not only improve your home’s appearance, but can also help improve indoor air quality and extend the life of your carpets.
How does Chem-Dry clean upholstery?
We use the same unique Hot Carbonating Extraction cleaning process on both carpets and upholstery. The carbonated bubbles lift dirt, grime, and spots from upholstery fibers and these unwanted elements are whisked away using our powerful extraction equipment. Just like with carpets, this process allows us to use a fraction of the water that other companies use, resulting in faster dry times.
No, Chem-Dry is not a steam cleaner. Carbonated bubbles are at the heart of our cleaning process, which we call Hot Carbonating Extraction. Millions of microscopic bubbles reach deep into your carpet fibers to lift dirt and grime to the surface where they are whisked away. This process allows us to use about 80% less water than typical steam cleaning.
Are Chem-Dry products safe for my kids and pets?
Chem-Dry has over X products that are a part of our Chem-Dry Green Certified Program. Among these products is the primary cleaning solution at the heart of our Hot Carbonating Extraction process. We call it The Natural® and all of its ingredients are on the FDA’s G.R.A.S. (Generally Recognized as Safe) list. Plus, it’s free from soapy detergents, fragrances, and harsh chemicals.
Why do I need protectant on my carpets?
Most new carpets come with a factory-applied protectant, but this wears off over time. Reapplying a protectant on your carpets can help resist stains and soiling, allowing your carpets to stay cleaner longer. Another reason protectant is a smart investment is that it slows the aging and wearing process, which can help extend the life of your carpets.
